The Joe Rocket RKT-400 Series BALLISTIC™ Motorcycle Helmet is built for riders who want the versatility of an adventure touring helmet with the comfort and practical features needed for commuting, highway riding, dual-sport travel, and long-distance motorcycle adventures.
Constructed with Joe Rocket’s A.T.P.A.™ Advanced Thermo-Poly Alloy shell, the RKT-400 BALLISTIC meets ECE 22.06 requirements. It uses an Intermediate Oval fit and is produced in two shell sizes, with helmet weights listed at 1550 g ± 50 g and 1650 g ± 50 g, depending on shell size.
For changing light and riding conditions, the BALLISTIC combines a Clear Cut™ optically correct faceshield, an integrated internal sun visor, a removable adventure peak, and a second tinted/iridium faceshield. Joe Rocket Canada currently describes the BALLISTIC as including clear and iridium shields, while its detailed specifications also reference the included second shield as a dark-tint Clear Cut™ shield.
